Las Vegas Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon
It’s a Sin City experience like no other. Each year competitive and amateur runners take part in Las Vegas’ Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon Series, which sees the Las Vegas Boulevard close down for a weekend of athletic achievement and neon-lit entertainment. In flashy casino style, the finish line for both 10K, half and full marathons is close to The Mirage, which ups its iconic volcano eruption frequently over the course of Sunday evening as runners pass by. There’s also an option to dress as the King of Rock ‘N’ Roll, Elvis Presley.
Live acts play over the weekend, runners raise money for charity and the loved up can even renew vows or tie the knot for the first time in a five minute ceremony on the course itself.
All that’s needed is for the seasoned runner to lace up and rock on.

- Pack neon. The race is held at night so dressing up in bright running gear or costume extras will add to the festivities and help make contestants more visible.
- Make the most of runner freebies. Race wristbands come with Sin City discounts; from free entry into the top clubs and restaurants, to deals on spa, entertainment and shopping around The Strip.
- Explore the Las Vegas dining scene but be sure to reserve tables ahead of time. Head to SUSHISAMBA and sample fusion cuisine from Japan, Brazil and Peru. Or opt for burgers and spiked milkshakes at LVB Burgers and Bar, which is located inside The Mirage.
