Altitude Comedy Festival
Self-proclaimed as the “funniest show on snow”, the Altitude Comedy Festival combines two fantastic activities, skiing and laughing, into one tidy alpine package.
With five days of entertainment, and three shows per day, beginning at 5pm (post snow day of course), Altitude knows how to entertain its audience. The schedule features world-class comedians, many of whom can’t resist the opportunity to yodel from the peaks and fit in a decent chunk of hill time.
For the audience, participation in acts is expected, encouraged even, and during the day some are likely to find themselves sharing a gondola with some of the biggest names in comedy. The atmosphere is refreshingly low-key, with not a red carpet or fussy entourage in sight. Somehow, in the mountains the word celebrity just doesn’t belong.
For those planning an alpine getaway, the opportunity to fill the apres-ski time with silliness and dazzling wit is one hot little deal.

- Don’t miss: The infamous Clown Race. It kicks off at the White Lounge igloo bar, located at the top of the ski area’s Ahorn mountain. Comedians are a competitive bunch, and this comic run down a 5 kilometre black run is both hilarious and nail biting. All participants must be in full costume.
- Buy the Altitude Super Ski Pass. It allows access to the entire Zillertal Super Ski Area.
- Munich, Innsbruck and Salzburg airports are all entry points from which transfers into Mayrhofen can be arranged.
