Best time to travelThe urban areas are year round destinations whilst the mountain resorts basically function in two cycles — one for winter sporting activities and the other for summertime hiking. April to October heralds the best summer weather which is always warm but not extreme. If skiing, November to April almost always brings thick snow. .
