Travelling thereWhile Panama has four international airports, most flights arrive at Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY), 35 kilometres from downtown. Panama can also be entered overland, with many travellers taking a bus from Costa Rica.

ClimateHas a tropical maritime climate, has a long rainy season (May to November) which is cloudy, hot and very humid. The dry season (December to April) is short.
TransportPanama’s Metrobus covers the city and its outskirts. Panama City's Metro system is easy but has a limited route. Taxis and shuttles are generally cheap. There are many domestic flights available. There is a good road system — if feeling adventurous enough, drive the country.
Best time to travelVisit during the summer dry season from mid-December to mid-April. This also corresponds to the high season, so expect higher rates.
What to wearThis depends on the location. Panama City being cosmopolitan, most tend to dress smart casual to formal. In the country, clothing is a more casual affair.
